Welcome to the Hudson City School’s Business page! The Business Office is led by Mr. Derek Cluse, the business manager who is responsible for overseeing a number of mission critical areas that help to keep the district running smoothly. We strive to provide excellent service in a safe and efficient manner. The key strategic areas that we in the business office focus on are:
The success of the business office is dependent upon the excellent contributions of many individuals in a variety of roles including custodians, maintenance staff, cooks and kitchen staff, lunch aides, classroom aides, bus drivers, consultants, contractors, supervisors and business office support team members. In addition to the roles listed, we work in a collaborative manner with individuals throughout the district including faculty, administrators and other building support staff to deliver an excellent educational environment and experience for students and families who live in Hudson. Our reach also extends outside of the school district as we provide support services like transportation and food service to private and parochial schools in the area.
Over the past 5 years the business office has played a central role in a number of strategic district achievements including the Innovation Think Tank, The Development of the 5-Year Strategic Plan, the construction of Hudson Memorial Stadium, Scott Malson Field, Malson Athletic Center, the renovation of the Tinker’s Creek tributary outdoor learning space at Hudson High School, the implementation of biometric point of sale systems within our school cafeterias, Healthier School US Challenge Award, SafeRoutes Hudson Award, Energy Star Leader Award and Energy Pace Setter Award.
