Hi, I have been an intervention specialist for Hudson City Schools for the past 14 years. It is my 30th year of teaching. While at Hudson I have been a deaf educator, middle school intervention specialist, preschool intervention specialist and currently am at Ellsworth Hill as a preschool intervention specialist. I earned my Bachelor of Science at Kent State in 1984 and earned my Masters in the Art of Teaching from Mary Grove College in 2009. I love working with children and love their excitement for learning. I live for the ah ha moment when something clicks and you can see that the child has a new understanding of something.
I believe that all students are capable of becoming life long learners and leaders. I believe that students learn in a variety of ways and that as a teacher it is my job to facilitate their learning and incease their learning modes. I strive to give my students the opportunity to develop strategies to be successful in school and their daily lives.
I live with my husband, Ken and a few animals. We have two dogs, a Doberman and a Pug and two tiger cats.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading and being with family and friends.
I can't wait to be one of your child's teachers this year.
