School Health Information
Seasonal changes bring about the cough, cold and flu season. We want to encourage our students and families to support good health habits that help prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria, such as containing coughs, not sharing drink containers and washing hands as much as possible. The Hudson City School District works closely with our Akron Children’s health care providers, Summit County Health Department and the CDC to better understand many of the health issues that may happen locally, statewide and nationally. Fact sheets covering the more commonly occurring viruses in children are posted on our Pupil Services web page. At this time, we have updated our information about the Hand, Foot and Mouth virus. This virus is appearing locally and statewide in children of all ages . We hope this information is useful to you. If you have any questions about the Hand, Foot and Mouth virus, please contact your physician for more information.
FACILITIES PLANNING - We need you!
Our school district is planning for the future of Hudson children! A facilities team has been working hard over the past several years to develop a Master Facilities Plan that will benefit the education of generations of students to come. Your parent voice is needed to help our school district continue this process and arrive at a final solution together! Please consider participating in a parent focus group. The dates, times and locations may be found on the district’s website. If you don’t want to commit with an RSVP, just come to one of the sessions that is most convenient for you.
Peanut-free Snack List - Reminder: Because all of our classrooms are nut-free, classroom treats, including birthday treats, must be peanut-free as specified on the Nut-Free Snack List Snack List. Most fresh bakery items like donuts, cupcakes, cookies are prohibited because bakeries are using nut products somewhere in the bakery.
