Welcome to Third Grade!

Hi! My name is Cailin (Kay-Lin) Tsangaris (sang-air-ess) and I am so excited to work with you and your child this school year! This will be my ninth year teaching, and my eighth year in the Hudson City School District. I attended Kent State University and received my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education (grades PreK-3). I hold my International Baccalaureate Certification, as well as my Reading Endorsement grades K-12. I earned my Master's Degree in Education: Reading Specialization from Kent State University in May 2019. On a more personal note, my husband and I welcomed our first son, Everett, in December of 2021. We have loved watching him grow and learn and becoming parents! We also have a pitbull-terrier mix that we rescued four years ago. She is now 10 years old and as sweet as can be! 

My mission is to create a safe, nurturing environment for your child to thrive in and reach their fullest potential. I want to help students seek to be lifelong learners, problem solvers, and empathetic citizens. I believe in fostering your child's potential through providing engaging materials that will also challenge them in healthy ways. Your child's social-emotional well being is always on the forefront and through that I can help your child become a more independent learner and problem-solver. Through a collaborative, safe and supportive classroom environment, students will feel empowered to be and do their best!

I am very passionate about what I do and I hope to exude that each year! I look forward to this year and collaborating with you and your child!
