Welcome to 7th grade social studies and language arts on the Voyagers Team!  I graduated from Hudson High School in 1983 and started teaching at Hudson Middle School in 1992.  My teaching experiences in Hudson have included my passions for both language arts and history, and I'm thrilled to be able to teach them both!  Seventh grade social studies is an exciting exploration of Ancient Greece to the First Global Age (750 B.C. to 1600).  During this class we will improve our nonfiction literacy skills and use them to think like historians.  Through a variety of genres, the 7th Grade Language Arts course invites students to explore the concepts of identity, perseverance, conformity, and challenges.  We will practice the art of speaking and listening and the craft of argumentative, narrative, informational, and poetic writing.  Our writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills will be applied and practiced in social studies, language arts, and beyond.
