Welcome to my home page! My name is Colin McGowan and I have been with Hudson High School in the Social Studies Department since 1998. A graduate of St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts (BA) and then John Carroll University (M.Ed), I was fully steeped in the Jesuit tradition of education and have brought that love of learning into my own classroom. My goal is to introduce your son or daughter into the story of history while challenging each student to always expect more of himself or herself. However, I am most concerned with the development of your son's or daughter's character and as a thoughtful citizen who lives their life with integrity. All of this should take place in a light environment where we laugh more often than not and learn to respect the material and each other. As a husband and father of two, I fully appreciate what an honor it is to teach your child and will always try to live up to this responsibility.
