Welcome to my web site!  My name is Ms. Molchen and I teach third grade at McDowell Elementary School in Hudson, Ohio.

I have been teaching third grade for 30 years.   I have a Master's in Special Education as well as my Gifted Endorsement.

I believe each child is a unique individual and should be treated as such. I instill responsibility in my students by holding them accountable for their work and their actions. The students in my class are not afraid to make mistakes and are encouraged to learn from their mistakes. My high expectations result in high achievement. I want every student to be successful and to expect success within themselves.

My classroom is an active space that is filled with hands-on learning experiences. 

I believe children should be involved in their own learning as much as possible.  Learning is doing and we do a lot!
