Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Science in Special Education, minor in Psychology from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA; Master of Arts in Transition Special Education from George Washington University, Washington DC

Mrs. Kristin Seredick

I have been teaching since 1990. Fourteen of those years were in Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia, one of the top rated school systems. I spent 5 years working with K-2nd grade students with cognitive disabilities and 9 years working at the high school level, teaching math to students with disabilities. At the high school, I was the sponsor for the Class of 1999 and co-sponsored the student government.

I moved to the Northeast, Ohio area in June 2004. I worked in Chagrin Falls for one year before coming to Hudson City Schools. I currently work with students with disabilities teaching math.

I graduated with cum laude honors from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and a  minor in Psychology. My knowledge gained in George Washington University Master of Arts program in Transition Special Education is useful in providing students additional levels of service as they prepare for life after school. One of my experiences included an internship with the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education & Rehabilitative Services, where I worked on Individuals with Disability Education Act of 1997 (IDEA 97).

An important aspect of my life is family. My husband and I have 3 children, a son (born in 2006) and boy-girl twins (born in 2009). We enjoy being active - hiking and riding our bikes on the tow path to catch the train in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, swimming, traveling, skiing at Brandywine Ski Resort, and sailing, jet skiing, and SUPing on Lake Erie.

I am a runner and triathlete, competing in sprint - Ironman distances.
