I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Akron and my graduate degree from Kent State University with a reading specialization. I continue to further my education by taking graduate courses. I began teaching at Hudson Elementary as the Reading Club teacher, a position I held for two years before moving to second grade. Fun Fact:  I attended the Hudson schools, from nursery school (that's dating myself!) through high school. 

My husband and I live in Rootstown Township where we have three dogs, four cats, a miniature donkey, two horses and fourteen chickens!
