Welcome to A-3!! This is my nineth year in the Hudson family and I could not be more excited and thrilled to start this school year. I have previously taught in Akron and Brimfield Elementary Schools. Teaching is my passion in life and I come to school each day with a smile on my face.
I earned my undergraduate degree from The University of Mount Union as well as my reading endorsement. I have two graduate degrees that I received from Kent State University in Evaluation and Measurement, my second graduate degree I recieved from Concordia University in Curriculum and Instruction in an Inclusive Classroom . I have continued to further my education by taking classes in technology, Web 2.0 Tools, leadership, language arts, and math. I was also chosen as a recipient of the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. I have taken the graduate class for Master Teacher. I attended a conference that was hosted by Stanford University's Jo Boaler who is a leading math researcher. I have also completed a course from Stanford Univserity on Teaching Mathematics by Jo Boaler. I am the Technology Content Facilitator for Ellsworth Hill.
I have twin boys who are three years old! They complete my heart and I cherish every single moment I spend with them. I have 21 beautiful nieces and nephews who I adore and love to have over for slumber parties. I live in Kent with my husband and children. My favorite hobbies include traveling to different beaches, zumba, weight lifting, spending time with my family and friends, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Cavs, traveling, Disney, hiking, bike riding, kayaking, paddle boarding, being outdoors, and anything that includes warm weather and sunshine!
In A-3 we will work together as a team to learn more each day, to challenge ourselves and each other, to create an atmosphere of respect,to be problem solvers, and to be able to impact others around us by leading as examples of effective and positive citizens.
