Welcome to 4th grade! I will teach Reading and Writing this year using the programs created by Lucy Calkins and her colleagues at the Teachers College. This is my 21st year in the classroom, and my seventh year in the Hudson City Schools.  I am so ecstatic to have the opportunity to teach in the Hudson family!  Many of my teaching years were spent with gifted and talented fifth graders in South Carolina, but I have loved my years in fourth grade in Hudson. There has been a little bit of Math and Science sprinkled into my career; however, the large bulk of my teaching experience is in the world of reading and writing.  I am so excited to work with all the young authors and readers in my classes this year!

When I am not at school, I am at home with my husband and two sons, or I am on the soccer field playing defense.  I love reading, laughing, working with kids, giving and getting hugs, telling and listening to stories, and spending time with loved ones.  I hope to bring my passion for life and all things Language Arts into the lives of all my students this year (and beyond)!
