Welcome to my homepage! I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade Math and Inquiry this year. I will be team teaching with Mrs. Maag.

This is my 12th year teaching, fourth year in Hudson! I love teaching 4th grade and am so excited for the opportunity to get to know all of my students and their families this year. My goal for all my students is for each of them to grow as a mathematician, a problem solver, a thinker, a good peer, and as a well-rounded student this school year. I hope to give my students the skills and strategies necesary to be successful inside and outside of my classroom. I look forward to working as a team between school and home. I started my journey to become a teacher at Bowling Green State University. I graduated in 2009 with my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I went on to immediately obtain my 4-5 Generalist Endorsement. After completing my education, I accepted a 4th grade teaching position at Washington Intermediate School in Findlay Ohio. I taught there for 4 years. When my district went through consolidation, Washington Intermediate was closed and I moved to our sister school, Jacobs Primary to teach 3rd grade. I obtained my K-12 reading endorsement durnig this transition and taught there for 2 years. In 2015, my family moved to the Chicago area for a job relocation for my husband. While in Chicago I taught private Kindergarten. In 2017 we decided to relocate our family back to the Cleveland area. This area is home as I am a K-12 Solon graduate and my parents still live in the area. 

My husband Chase and I celebrated 11 years of marriage this past May and we have two amazing little boys; Jackson is starting 3rd grade this school year and Lucas is starting Kindergarten. We love to go on hikes, work out, watch the Cleveland Indians, ride bikes, cook out, have camp fires, go to the zoo, and spend time with family and friends.
