My Teaching Philiosophy
My teaching philosophy begins with the concept that we are all individuals before we are members of a group. And this applies to students as well. Children may be grouped together by age or even ability, but the fact is that neither age nor ability indicates sameness. For example, show me two 15 year olds who are alike and I'll point out their many differences. Show me two advanced learners and how they are alike, and I'll show you all their differences. We are all different and my classroom not only acknowledges this, it capitalizes on it, implementing teaching strategies directed at all the differences. My teaching objective is for every student to find success!
