Birthday Book Club!

In Room 127, we love to celebrate birthdays!  We will celebrate each individual child by making them a class compliment book as a keepsake to remember their special day. In honor of your child’s special day, he/she can choose to donate a favorite children’s book to the class.  A loved one is encouraged to read the book to the class (in person or via Zoom) or I can read the book to the class. Then the book will become part of our classroom library. This is a great opportunity for students to discover the gift of giving. (If you do not wish to donate a book, your child can just bring in their favorite book to be read aloud.) 

Children with summer birthdays may choose a day to celebrate a “half-birthday.  Please send me an email to schedule your child’s birthday celebration if your child has a summer birthday.

Due to food allergies, it is McDowell's policy that we do not send any food items on your child’s birthday. Also, please do not send any trinket or “goody bags”. 

(Please communicate with me via email several days prior to your child’s birthday. Birthdays that fall during the week will be celebrated on the actual day.)
