Hi! My name is Erin Reynolds and I am a Kindergarten Intervention Specialist at McDowell Elementary. I am so thrilled and fortunate to be a part of the McDowell Elementary staff.  It truly is a terrific school!  

This year I will be going into my sixth year of teaching. The Kindergarten team is incredible this year and co-teaching with Mrs. Zinn and Miss Greenlee. This year my educational assistants are Mrs. Joan Archer, Miss Kathryn Molle, and Mrs. Samantha Fabrizio (Mrs. F). As a team, we are very excited to work in partnership to make Kindergarten an amazing, unforgettable, and successful year for your children. 

In the Spring of 2017, I graduated magna cum laude from The University of Akron with a dual degree B.S. in Early Childhood Intervention Specialist and B.S. in Early Childhood Education. Prior to working for Hudson City Schools, I worked privately as a Neurodevelopmental Teacher in Hudson. My love for learning and teaching began young (Kindergarten) and I have always wanted to teach others to love learning just as I have.  In addition, advocating has been a passion of mine to ensure each and every one of my students is given the tools, education, equity, and well-being to be the best learner they can be. Teaching and advocating have always come first and foremost in my teaching career.

After school and on the weekends, you can find me at the gym, babysitting, visiting my family, who live in the Chicagoland area, spending time with my boyfriend Matt, and playing with our pocket pitbull, named Mia. 

Kindergarten is a very exciting time for both you and your students and I am very excited to help guide your child to an everlasting love for learning this year! I am a firm believer in the child comes first mentality and I look forward to forming supportive, meaningful, and lasting relationships with all that I encounter. I believe that getting to know each one of my students is paramount to being the best teacher I can be! Teaching truly is my passion and I cannot wait to begin working with your children!
