Mrs. Koneval Mr. Brockway Mrs. Ulrich Mrs. SkoczenMrs. Koneval has been a teacher in Hudson since 1997 with a 6-year hiatus from 2004-2010 to raise her two boys. She has taught 2nd grade at Hudson Elementary and both 4th and 5th grade at East Woods. She received her K-12 Intervention Specialist degree from the University of Toledo, her 1-8 Elementary Education and Reading Endorsement from Ashland University, and an MEd in Educational Technology from the American College of Education. Mrs. Koneval was selected as a member of the Summit County All-Teacher Team in 2013 and presented at the Ohio Special Education Leadership Conference in 2012 and 2014 and the Dublin Literacy Conference in 2015. She serves as the Special Education Content Facilitator for East Woods. Mrs. Koneval brings to our team a strong skill set for differentiating curriculum in reading, writing, and math; teaching study skills, and using formative assessments to maximize each student's potential.Mr. Brockway has been a teacher in Hudson since 1999. He has taught 2nd grade at Hudson Elementary and both 4th and 5th grade at East Woods. He received both his Elementary Education and Educational Administration degrees from Kent State. He coaches bowling for HCSD and enjoys spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters. Mr. Brockway presented at the Ohio Special Education Leadership Conference in 2014 and the Dublin Literacy Conference in 2015. He is also the Technology Content Facilitator for East Woods. Mr. Brockway brings a love for mathematics, wide knowledge of new technology skills, and the ability to make learning fun and exciting to our team.Mrs. Ulrich has been teaching since 1995. She began her teaching career with Ravenna City Schools as a 4th-grade teacher and then moved to Hudson City Schools in 2000. She received her Elementary Education degree from Youngstown State University and Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialization from Kent State University. Mrs. Ulrich presented at the Ohio Special Education Leadership Conference in 2014 and the Dublin Literacy Conference in 2015. She brings a deep knowledge of best practices in reading, writing, and word study to our team and will be incorporating those skills into our new inquiry research model. Mrs. Ulrich was selected as both the PTA Teacher of the Year and PTO Distinguished Teacher in 2016.
