We are thrilled to be back together, to begin our first week of 2020-2021 at Hudson Middle School! We truly believe in this sentiment, and it shows: "No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship." ~James Comer
Welcome to our brand new (and beautiful!) Hudson Middle School! This is YOUR school, and we are so happy you are here!
In our middle school main entrance, this inspiring message welcomes everyone, highlighting why we do what we do - our students are THE REASON WE ARE HERE!
Special thanks to our Hudson Community First Youth Board, who spent time creating welcome messages on the sidewalks of all HCSD schools to greet our students on their first days of school!
In extended homeroom periods this week, our students learned about a number of important topics: lockers, arrival/dismissal, lunch procedures, safety/wellness procedures, safety/security information, and inclusiveness - All Are Welcome Here!
During classes this week, students and teachers spent time building relationships and getting to know one another, taking tours of the building, setting up Google Classrooms, and so much more!
6th grade students and all new enrollments received their district-issued 1:1 device this week in our media center. We are so grateful to our Board of Education for providing iPads for all of our students in grades 6-12!
Our very first live-streamed classes, with those at-home and those in-person! Even as we work through the small issues that arise, we love that our students are able to participate as an entire class together!
Our media center is looking beautiful...and inviting! Students will be learning media procedures and will soon be able to access the wealth of materials within our new space!
We are loving our new bus parking lot, to keep bus traffic separate from parent traffic. Thank you to our incredible bus drivers for transporting our students safely to and from school!
