     When are free meals available and for how long?

    Access to free breakfast and lunch starts on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, and will last for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. 

     Who is eligible? Do I need to be on free or reduced-price meals to take advantage of these free meals?

    All students are eligible, regardless of income, and will have free meals available to them starting September 28, 2020. Students will go through the lunch line as normal, but will not be charged for meals.

    However, if you feel that you qualify for free or reduced-price meals, we ask that you complete an application. Doing so ensures we will be able to provide proper funding, student accessibility, and counts for all meals throughout the school year.      How does the district get reimbursed for breakfast and lunch?

    The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services has published nationwide waiver extensions for the Summer Food Service Program and Seamless Summer Option through the end of the 2020-2021 school year. This program is funded by the federal government. The district is getting reimbursement for the cost of all meals by the federal government. 


     Are a la carte items included in this program?

    No, a la carte items are not included in this program.


     If I pack lunch, can my student get just milk for free?

    No, milk that is not part of lunch is considered an a la carte item and costs 50 cents.
