Hey there! My name is Chadwick Groom and I teach automotive technology. I've worked in the automotive industry since 2008, beginning my career as a parts specialist at a local Auto Zone. Since then, I've gone on to do some exciting work in this industry. I worked as a technician for about 10 years. I spent most of that time working for Toyota at dealerships in Kent and Akron. I spent 4 years as an adjunct instructor, teaching automotive technology at Stark State College. In 2016, I started my career in public education at Akron Public Schools, working as an automotive instructor. I've also been involved in some content creation, developing the literature used for automotive repair training purposes.

I've always had a passion for automobiles. I'm talking since I was literally in diapers! Driving my Power Wheels Jeep around the back yard, bugging my dad to put it up on jack stands so I could be just like him. I've been blessed to make a living in a field that I thoroughly enjoy. Initially, I had no idea where my passion would take me. Now being able to teach young adults life lessons and pass on my skills, knowledge, and opportunities, this is something I hold in high regard. My teachers have made a huge impact on my life and my hope is that I can do the same for my students for years to come.
