My name is Jessica McCoy, and I have been teaching adolescent students since 2019. During that time, I spent two years teaching Government and World History at the high school level before starting at Hudson Middle School in 2021. I am also the 7th grade volleyball coach for the 2022 school year. I am so fortunate to be a part of such a welcoming, inclusive, and wonderful community and I love seeing what our students are capable of.  

I grew up and graduated from Woodridge High School, and from there moved on to Kent State University to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Social Studies with a focus in Sociology. I am a history buff through and through, and love all things social studies! 

I currently reside in West Akron with my husband, and our dog, Mabel. I spend my time outside of school exercising, visiting the local parks and trails, cooking, and practicing yoga! I love exploring my own community, and the amazing community that is Hudson. 

I am really looking forward to working with you this year, and I know it is going to be a good one! It is so wonderful to all be back together as we grow and learn to navigate 7th grade. We are ALL in this together, and I am so happy that we get to share these experiences with one another. Welcome to the Trailblazers!
