Hello! I am so excited for another year being a part of the Hudson team and teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade art at East Woods Elementary!

I grew up in Zanesville, Ohio and then moved to Kent for 4 years while I studied Art Education and Disabilities Studies/Community Inclusion at Kent State. After graduating in 2015, I moved back to Southeast Ohio and spent 2 years at Morgan West Elementary in Morgan Local Schools as the Pk-6th Grade Art teacher. This is my 7th year being a part of the Hudson team! Since working in Hudson, I have earned a master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology. 

I love teaching art! I have enjoyed drawing and creating since I was a little girl. I was the kid that was always trying to make her own Halloween costumes and drawing her favorite cartoon characters until they were perfect. I never considered becoming an art teacher until my high school art teacher suggested it as a possible career path. Duh! Looking back, all of my art teachers growing up were some of my favorites in school. Spending 4 years at Kent State and 8 in my own classroom has solidified my passion for teaching students through art.
