In American History, students compose a short-answer response to a prompt about the Embargo Act of 1807...and then the Battle Royale begins! Students assess their peers' work anonymously, in a bracket challenge, to determine the most thorough and clear response, supported by evidence!

LOVE the enthusiasm of our staff, as we look forward to the Total Eclipse! A rare event that hasn't happened here since 1806, and won't occur again until 2099! Thank you to our amazing district for providing glasses for every student!

    BusZone App:

    • As you may have seen in a district email, Hudson’s bus transportation provider, Petermann, is changing the app it uses for parents to track their student’s bus.  BusZone is replacing Bus Tracker. This week, you may download the BusZone app from the App Store or Google Play and complete a few easy steps.
      • 1) After downloading the app, enter our school access code: 6400HCSD
      • 2) In the search field, enter the bus number you need to follow and your child’s unique student ID
      • 3) Lastly, create alert zones around drop-off and pick-up points
    • There is no cost to download and use BusZone. It also is completely voluntary.
    • The two mobile apps will overlap this week with the necessary bus tracking information while the switch is being made. However, beginning Monday, April 8th, BusZone will be the only option available to monitor your child’s bus.
    • If you have questions, please reach out to Kim Lane at Petermann, klane@durhamschoolservices.com or 330-653-3355.

    Hands of Gratitude Sponsorship:

    • Each year, we seek sponsorship in order to continue the life-changing Hands of Gratitude program that is part of our Service Learning & Careers Course at Hudson Middle School!

    • If you know of a person or organization who may be interested in supporting this program at our school, please feel free to pass this on. We've made the sponsorship even easier, through our simplified PaySchools link: https://www.locallevelevents.com/events/details/32397

    • Our students are making a difference and are so appreciative of your support!

    • See our Hands of Gratitude Sponsorship flier for more details about this incredible program and how you can help!
