Hello my name is Mrs. Bethany Hipps and I am a 3rd grade Intervention Specialist at McDowell Elementary.   I taught at Evamere for 9 years and have been actively engaged in many different programs and events in the Hudson City School district. 

 

I grew up in a farm community in Northwest Ohio and knew in kindergarten that I wanted to be a teacher.  I have my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (Pk-3) with a Reading Endorsement from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 2005.  I then earned my Intervention Specialist certification from Bluffton University in 2007.  I earned my Master's of Arts in Special Education in 2012.   

 

This year I have the pleasure to work with Mrs. Linda Chaloupka, and Mr. Sperry classrooms.  I have wonderful paraprofessionals that help support students throughout the day as well. Mrs. Graham, Mrs. Geisler, and Mrs. Wilcox.  

 

Some of my hobbies are reading, playing with my daughter, Amara, spending time with my family, and enjoying each day to the fullest!
