Mrs. Sandra Procaccio

I have worked with students and adults with hearing loss my entire career in education as a tutor, classroom teacher, educational sign language interpreter, and intervention specialist for the hearing impaired. My career has spanned 35 years. During that time I have worked in four of the Six District Compact school districts: Kent, Stow, Tallmadge and Hudson and at taught sign language classes atMaplewood Vocational School.I have been in the Hudson City School District for 16 years.
I have been married for 47 years. My husband's name is Pete. We have lived in the Hartville/Uniontown area for 37 years. We have two grown children, Laura and Louis(Lou). Laura and her husband, Ed, live in the Pittsburg area. Both are in the field of engineering. Lou and his family live close to the Uniontown/Hartville are in Suffield. His family includes his wife Rhonda and my three granddaughters, Bella, Sara, and Mia. Lou is in the Building Trades and his wife is in accounting.
I have several hobbies and a long list of things that I am interested in trying however time is limited so I continue to add ideas to my list. I do enjoy reading and finally joined a book club this past summer in my home area. To date we have read: The Invention of Wings, The Red Thread, and Unbroken . Our next selection is The Orphan Train. I also enjoy gardening and traveling. My husband and I spent ten days in Ireland this past summer. However, when I am not working what I enjoy most is being with my family.
My philosophy for working with my students and clients is to support them in finding ways to maximize their individual skills allowing them to achieve their individual goals.
