• Mrs. Koneval has been a teacher in Hudson since 1997 with a 6-year hiatus from 2004-2010 to raise her two boys.  She taught 2nd grade at Hudson Elementary and both 4th and 5th grade at East Woods.  She received her K-12 Intervention Specialist degree from the University of Toledo, her 1-8 Elementary Education and Reading Endorsement from Ashland University, and an MEd in Educational Technology from the American College of Education.   Mrs. Koneval was selected as a member of the Summit County All-Teacher Team in 2013, was Hudson PTO's Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2022, and presented at the Ohio Special Education Leadership Conference in 2012 and 2014, the Dublin Literacy Conference in 2015, and the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference in 2016.  She served eight years as the Special Education Content Facilitator for East Woods, mentored new teachers, hosted student teachers, and started Recess Clubs at the 4/5 grade level. She is currently one of East Woods Technology Content Facilitators. 
    Mrs. Koneval enjoys camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, and watching live theatre at Playhouse Square. She hopes to someday visit every National Park and geocache in every state. She lives in Medina with her husband, Rich. She has two boys. Zach is finishing up his last year at the University of Akron majoring in  Mechanical Engineering. Marcus is a sophomore at Cleveland State University- also majoring in Mechanical Engineering. They have a 5-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback named Nala and a bearded dragon named Brutus.
    Our team consists of Mrs. Koneval who teaches math and inquiry, Mrs. Benduhn who teaches language arts, and Mrs. Eiskamp who will be co-teaching all subjects.
