Mrs. Catalano-Jones
Welcome to Mrs. C-J's Class! I am Mrs. Catalano-Jones (A.K.A....Mrs. C-J) and I can't wait to begin a new school year! I have taught second grade in the Hudson City Schools for 32 years. I attended the Hudson Schools from fourth grade through high school. Then I earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Miami University and my Masters Degree in Education from Marygrove College.
This is my 37th year of teaching. My teaching career began at Our Lady of Good Counsel School in Cleveland where I taught second grade. I have taught second grade at Evamere Elementary, Hudson Elementary, and I currently teach second grade at Ellsworth Hill Elementary School.
My husband and I have two wonderful children. My daughter Isabel is a graduate of Miami University and she graduated from The University of Toronto with a Master of Global Affairs. She is now working as a digital research analyst. My son, Cameron, is a graduate of Kent State University and is pursuing a career in biology research. My family loves to travel, kayak, hike, and play games together. My favorite hobbies are traveling, reading and making crafts. We have two furry members of our family, cats named Fitz and Frankie.
In Mrs. C-J's Class, we will work together (students, parents and teachers) to create an atmosphere of cooperation, respect and support. My goal for every child in my class is to help them become confident, problem-solvers and life-long learners (and to have success and fun along the way!)
