Hello and welcome to the 2022- 2023 school year!

My name is Mrs. AnnMarie Layton. I am the Intervention Specialist working on the 4th grade teaching team of Mark Mummey and Noah Harper.  I have a passion for teaching students and guiding them as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.                         

East Woods Intermediate School is a great place to be!  This is my 9th year teaching at EWIS. During my time I have worked as a small group supplemental reading teacher, classroom teacher and intervention specialist. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what I love every day and I am grateful that you share your child with us during the school year. My goal, for your child, is to help build self-confidence and to foster a love of learning that will last a lifetime.  

My husband, Dan and I live in Hudson and have three children and a dog named Toby. Both of our boys attended Hudson City Schools for grades K-12 and attended Ohio State University after graduation. Matthew studied engineering and graduated from OSU this year. He is currently working in research and development at Honda. Andrew is a current junior at OSU. Our daughter, Jessica is a senior at Hudson High School. I am proud to live and work in the Hudson community.
