Mr. Jay Hill

I have taught in many places and in many capacities, including teaching English in China, high school math in rural South Carolina, college math courses at various universities and community colleges (Purdue-North Central, Clark College, Hillsborough Community College, and Tri-C), and even college math classes within the Indiana State Prison System (as a teacher, not an inmate).  In each of these settings, throughout many curricula and subject matter, my driving motivation is to take students where they are and help them move to where they need to be in a meaningful and relevant way. My goal is to not only help them understand the mathematical procedures and concepts, but to become lifelong learners, seeking to relate the logical processes learned and refined in the math classroom to their daily lives and future careers.
This year, I have the pleasure of teaching Honors Geometry and Geometric Design (with Mr. Stonestreet).  I look forward to the honor of working with these incredible young adults.
I also enjoy working with the Model United Nations Club at Hudson and running the After School Tutoring program (3:00-4:30 on Thursdays in Room A106).
