Hi!  My name is Melanie Marshall.  I am thrilled to be a part of Evamere as a Supplemental Reading Teacher!   My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Special Education at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.  I also received my Master's Degree at Indiana Weslyan University in Marion, IN.  I have 13 years of teaching experience in the public schools.  My experience includes working with children with varying disabilities in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. 

Before moving to Hudson with my family in 2014, I was given the opportunity to design and develop a Special Needs Ministry from the ground up so that families who have children with special needs could worship on Sunday mornings while having the comfort of knowing their child was being fully included in our Children's Ministry.  This ministry continues to grow to this day! 

My husband and I along with our two children live in Hudson.  I have a son who is in eighth grade and a daughter in sixth grade at Hudson Middle School.  Maybe you will see us around town!

I love teaching in Hudson City Schools!  I started out as an Intervention Specialist at McDowell.  I looped for three years with the same group of students.  This was an absolute joy to work with these students and their families!  Along with teaching in the classroom, I had the privilege to tutor several students in the area of reading after school and through the summer.  Nothing brings me greater joy than to see a child get excited about learning to read!  I now get to experience this joy on a daily baisis at Evamere Elementary School as a Supplemental Reading Teacher!
