Mr. Halm

I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching in Hudson City Schools with such tremendous students and working in collaboration with other teachers and parents to create the best opportunities and learning experiences for all students.  Each individual is unique and can bring something wonderful to our class!  One of my biggest philosophies is creating a classroom environment in which all students feel valued and ensures they feel safe not just physically, but emotionally as well.  This is my 16th year of teaching and 9th in Hudson.  I am currently an assistant coach for 7th grade football and coached track & field for several years in the past.

My previous teaching experiences include teaching elementary (K-2) and middle school (6-8) Health and PE within the Oberlin City School System.  During my 7 years in Oberlin, I had the privilege of coaching high school soccer and baseball as well as middle school cross-country, track and field, and both boys and girls basketball.

I love spending time with my wife and our three children; Lucas (4th grade), Leah (Kindergarten), Lennon (2) and our black Labrador (Clyde, 11 years old).  In my free time, I enjoy traveling, helping coach my children's athletic teams and participating in adult athletic leagues.  When I am not playing or coaching a sport, I am cheering on the Cleveland Browns, Cavs, Guardians, Michigan Wolverines (I know, I know) and Hudson Explorers!
