Ms. Brittany Amiet
Welcome to my class website! My name is Brittany Amiet and am a second year teacher with the Hudson High School History Department. I graduated from Perry High School (Massillon Perry, not North Perry) and from there attended the University of Akron (graduated 2012, BA) where I studied both history and education. I am currently working on my masters degree at the University of Akron with a focus on Modern Europe and Ancient Rome. I love to learn because of the wonderful teachers I have had throughout my life. I have been shown the value of education and I want to introduce that same value to your son or daughter by challenging each student to put themselves into the world of history and look through the eyes of those who have come before in an effort to truly engage in the historical world. The cool thing about history is that there is something for everyone and while I know that I cannot possibly introduce all facets of history to the students, I want to intrigue them and encourage them to do research on their own and continue their learning outside of the classroom. This is challenging but I hope to make it fun but learning in an environment where all students feel listened to and comfortable. I am honored to have been chosen as a teacher at Hudson High School and I look forward to meeting each and every student that walks through my door because they always bring a different perspective and interpretation, which is invaluable for the study of history. Please feel free to call me at any time with any questions or concerns. Thank you so much and for all the students who had read this, welcome!
