Community:
Preschool students with disabilities participate in a community preschool with direct or indirect support.
Students with disabilities preparing for postsecondary transition participate in vocational training and work experiences in the community setting.
Consultation:
Students with disabilities are included in the general education setting and are provided with indirect support through consultation with their general education teachers.
In-Class Support:
Special education staff provide support directly to students in the general education setting. Special education staff may be in the classroom for all or part of the instructional period every day or just for a few days a week. They provide support to the students through direct instruction or on-the-spot accommodations and modifications.
Co-Teaching in General Education:
Instruction is provided to students with and without disabilities in the general education setting by both a special education staff member and a general education teacher. The special education staff member is in the classroom on a regular basis. The professionals co-plan, co-instruct, and co-assess together.
