Superintendent
It is my great privilege to serve as the Superintendent of Hudson City Schools. We are so fortunate to have a community that values education. Hudson provides a rich academic curriculum that challenges students and works to develop each student to their fullest potential. Our strong academics, combined with stellar athletics and an exceptional arts program, is what makes Hudson one of the top districts in Ohio.
This year, our focus will be on our Portrait of an Explorer. The Portrait of an Explorer was drafted in 2019 as part of the Strategic Planning process, and was a collaboration between staff, students, and community members. Contributors were challenged to consider what characteristics are needed to be a lifelong learner and contributor in our ever-changing world. The end result was six different competencies that they believe all Hudson students should possess: Engaged Collaborator, Empathetic Contributor, Adaptive Problem Solver, Ethical Citizen, Lifelong Learner and Critical Thinker. We will have six days dedicated throughout this school year across all buildings to learn more about each of these six pillars.
As a leader, I believe it is essential to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and the community. In Hudson City Schools, when we interact with one another and our school community, we will have relationships at the top of our priorities. It is our hope that as a supporter of our schools, you will see this as a strength in our district.
I encourage people to reach out any time they have questions, concerns or new ideas. I can be reached at addisd@hudson.k12.oh.us.
