Biography
Mr. Dana Addis is currently serving his second school year as Superintendent of Hudson City Schools. He was hired in the Spring 2022 after a rigorous process to find the district's new leader.
Previously, Mr. Addis served as Superintendent of Norton City Schools for five years. Prior to that time, he served as Principal of Highland High School in Medina for six years. He has also been an Assistant Principal at Strongsville High School and an Athletic Director in Copley. Mr. Addis began his educational career as an English teacher at Copley High School back in 1994, where he also served as the Head Basketball Coach.
Mr. Addis facilitates an Aspiring Superintendent's Cohort through the Summit County Educational Service Center. He is a member of the Northeast Ohio Dream Team Innovation Leadership Team and a graduate of the Ohio School Leadership Institute Program, a collaborative effort of state superintendents. Mr. Addis is an active member of the Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA) and The School Superintendents Association (AASA).
Mr. Addis earned his Bachelor of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Kent State University and his Master's Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Akron.
An avid fan of all Cleveland sports teams, Mr. Addis enjoys attending sporting events. He and his wife, Laura, have been married for 25 years and are the proud parents of three grown children.
