I am so excited to be going into my fourth year of teaching at Hudson High School! The first three years were phenomenal, and I look forward to all that this school year has in store. It was when I was attending Roosevelt High School in Kent that I realized my passion for learning and for English, and my goal is to help bring out a passion in my students. I believe all of my students can and will find success in my classroom through creative and challenging lessons, discussion, and collaboration.
Before coming to Hudson, I worked in several districts, including Streetsboro, Willoughby, and Kent, and this path has given me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of learners and get to know many fantastic students and teachers. I will be teaching Honors English 9, yearbook, and speech for the 2017-2018 school year, and I'm sure it will be an awesome, always interesting journey.
On a personal note, I married my high school sweetheart, Jake, in 2012. We adopted a black lab/border collie puppy (Ralph) in the summer of 2015, and he is our love but keeps us quite busy. Additionally, I am a massive animal lover, Cleveland Indians/Cavs fan, and amateur artist (clay and painting). I also enjoy running, hiking, eating (note: NOT cooking), and of course, reading. I am so looking forward to getting to know my students and their families throughout the school year and beyond!
