I am so excited to be going into my ninth year of teaching at Hudson High School! The first eight were phenomenal, and I look forward to all this unique school year has in store. Hopefully things will continue to look as normal as possible! No matter what, we will have some incredible experiences digging deep into texts, writing, and having discussions.

 

When I was attending Roosevelt High School in Kent, I realized my passion for learning and for English, and my goal is to help bring out a passion in my students. I believe all of my students can and will find success in my classroom through creative and challenging lessons, discussions, and collaboration. There is something for everyone in this rich curriculum. 

 

I am honored to be teaching New Dimensions and Honors English 9, and I'm confident the year will bring growth for both my students and myself. 

 

On a personal note, I married my high school sweetheart, Jake, in 2012. I am a massive animal lover (we are the proud owners of two Labrador rescues, Ralph and Ben). Additionally, I enjoy travel, documentaries/movie marathons, fashion, British dramas, eating (note: NOT cooking), and of course, reading! I am so looking forward to getting to know my students and their families throughout the school year and beyond!
