Hello Families!

My name is Emily Walter and I teach first grade at Ellsworth Hill! I love being a part of the Hudson City Schools community and I am looking forward to a year filled with lots of learning and fun. 

I can’t wait to get to know each of my students and I would like to share a bit about myself.  This will be my eleventh year teaching, and my tenth teaching First Grade (my favorite!). I graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as a K-12 reading endorsement and Master’s Degree in Reading Specialization. I believe in a student-centered classroom and value all of my students as individuals. I am looking forward to getting to know all of my students and watching them grow this year!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially my husband and our kids, Thomas and Hattie. I also enjoy reading, cheering for the Cleveland Browns, and cooking.
