My teaching career began in Bay Village, teaching third grade, and prior to teaching in Hudson I was a Reading Specialist for the Medina City Schools. My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University, a Master's Degree in Education from John Carroll University, a Reading Endorsement from Kent State University, and a K-12 Administrative License from Cleveland State University. I am also currently pursuing a doctoral degree from Kent State University. My husband and I live in Hudson along with our daughter, Madison, who will be attending the University of Kentucky this fall.Teaching is truly my passion. I believe strongly in helping all students reach their highest potential. I work to achieve this by creating a classroom environment that nurtures each student to take risks, to grow as learners, to be accepting of others, and to build on each students' strengths. I believe that my role as a teacher is to work each day to create engaging learning spaces and to carefully determine the next learning steps for each student so that they are continually growing and progressing.I also strongly believe in the importance of the home-school connection, and welcome open communication with parents. Teachers and parents as partners build a strong support system for students and are critical to school success.I look forward to working with you and your child this school year!"Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So...get on your way." Dr. Seuss
