This is Kristin Grant’s fifth year in Hudson Schools, and her 20th year of teaching. She taught in Colorado for 15 years. Her first 10 years of teaching she taught third grade and then fourth grade for 5 years. Mrs. Grant believes that all children have the right to and can learn, and that all children have strengths on which to foster areas of need. She feels that through meaningful, differentiated, interactive lessons built on students’ strengths, teaching can promote deep learning, curiosity, creativity and character development. In addition to designing innovative, research-based lesson plans in order to meet students’ academic needs, she believes educators are charged with the responsibility of developing young citizens who respect and value our global community. Professionally, in addition to previous awards throughout her career in Colorado, the Hudson City School District is proud to announce that Mrs. Grant was named to the Summit County All-Star teaching team for 2019 and is a finalist for this year's award.
Mrs. Grant is originally from Ohio, and happy to be back. Colorado still holds a special place in her heart. She loves to spend time with her husband, Rob and their dog, Emmylou. She enjoys being with her family and friends, is an avid sports fan, and a yogi. She looks forward to getting to know you this school year.
