Picking Up Your Child: When picking your child up for an appointment, please be sure to send a note to your child's teacher. Parents need to sign their child out at Door A. If there is a change of dismissal during the school day, please call the office (by 3:15pm at the latest) to let staff know your child will be a car rider, or bus rider for that day.  The office staff needs time to let your child's teacher know of the change in transportation.  Thank you!
Attendance Line: Please call 330-653-1200 to report your child's absence.  You may leave a voicemail with all the requested information.
School Lunch Info: Breakfast and Lunch will be free again this year for all students.
COVID-19 Dashboard: Just a reminder that an email will be sent to all parents or guardians if there is a positive COVID case in your child’s class or school sponsored extracurricular activity.  Parents can visit the COVID-19 Dashboard on the district website at https://www.hudson.k12.oh.us/domain/2062 or you can go to www.hudson.k12.oh.us>COVID-19 reporting to see the total number of cases at any building.
Technology (Wearables): As the “Internet of Things” continues to evolve and revolutionize, wearable technology is becoming increasingly popular. Smart watches that incorporate activity trackers and have the ability to make phone calls and send messages are perhaps the most notable among wearables. Gizmos watches, popular among younger students, help them stay connected to their parents in a safe, more controlled way. Hudson City Schools permits students to wear Gizmos watches and other wearables as long as they do not cause a distraction and are used appropriately. We recommend that parents turn off all games during the school day. Also, students should not use a wearable during school hours to call home. If a student is ill or has a concern, he or she should go to his or her teacher or trusted adult, and the adult will take care of the student. Our goal remains to support student use of technology responsibly
School Fees: Ellsworth Hill School Fees have been posted to your child's My Payments Plus account.  Please be prompt in making your child's school fees payment.  Thank you.

Hudson PTO: Please consider supporting Hudson Parent Teacher Organization by joining PTO or renewing your PTO Membership for the 2021/2022 school year.  The cost of an annual family membership is $20 and covers all students attending the HCDS for one year.  All funds raised are used to sponsor numerous PTO events throughout Hudson City Schools including Pancake Breakfast, Halloween Windows, Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week & Right to Read Week.  Funds also sponsor school-specific events (Movie Nights, Hoedown, Carnivals, Polar Express and Bon Voyage), Fall/Spring grants, scholarships, and awards.  Click here to join or renew your PTO membership.

PTO Pumpkin Patch: The Hudson PTO is excited to announce their 4th Annual Kindergarten-4th Grade Pumpkin Patch again this year (socially distanced of course).  Registration opens Tuesday September 28th and runs through Friday, October 7th. Place your order for a 12-15 lb carving pumpkin for $10 each on the PTO website www.hudsonpto.org.  Pumpkins may be picked up Friday, October 22nd, between 4:00-7:00 at the EastWoods Commons door.   Take your pumpkin home to carve and return to the Green at First and Main Sunday, October 24, between 12:00pm and 4:00 PM.

There is a sign-up genius on the PTO website for pumpkin returns to ensure social distancing. Additionally, masks must be worn for both pick-up and drop off.   All pumpkins will be lit up for Halloween.  We hope you will join us in attempting to bring some normalcy to our kids for the Halloween holiday.
