I spent the first 25 years or so after college working in maintenance and reliability in steel mills. During my time in the mills, I worked as a shift supervisor, maintenance planner, staff engineer and eventually ended up in management. After the curtain closed on that act of my professional career, my family urged me to follow my dreams and become a teacher for the second act. With their support, I returned to school at U of Akron and earned MS in Curriculum and Instruction. As part of my studies, I had the opportunity to do my student teaching at Hudson during the 2018-19 school year. This year I am back in one of the rooms I student taught in as one of the newest members of the HHS family.
For 2019-20, I have 4 sections of Geometry ( including co-teaching 3rd Period with Paul Milligan) and one section of Algebra 1.
I strongly believe that we are ALL “Math People” and try to share my appreciation of the field with all my students (and with my family, neighbors, friends and whoever happens to be filling their tank at the next gas pump).
