A Comprehensive and Responsible Master Facilities Plan

  • For five years, our school leadership has studied our buildings and options, gathered input from our community, and worked with experts to create a plan for our future. With input from community focus groups and community engagement meetings, revisions were made to the facility plan. The result is a plan that is comprehensive, cost effective, and reflects the community’s values.

Nearly 90 years old, the 1927 building is a significant portion of the Middle School. The majority of our buildings and additions were designed and constructed between 1927-1970. The High School, completed in 1992, and Ellsworth Hill, constructed in 2007, are the newest facilities in our District. However, the majority of our students attend school in aging facilities.

The proposed Master Facility Plan addresses the problem of aging buildings and provides an opportunity to include flexible, student-centered learning spaces in our classrooms that support collaboration, creativity, and project-based learning.
