    U.S. Studies from 1492 to 1877: Exploration through Reconstruction
    Welcome to 8th grade American History! This year we’ll be exploring how we developed from being a “new world” unexplored and then later colonized by European nations. From colonization we’ll examine the causes of the American Revolution, and how we developed into our own independent nation. Finally, we’ll examine what factors led to our nation tearing ourselves apart by fighting the American Civil War and then tried to rebuild ourselves and our nation. There are amazing people and unbelievable stories to encounter along this journey.
