Welcome to 6 Respect Language Arts! Mrs. Sweitzer and I co-teach, and we are looking forward to working with you this year. We can't wait to celebrate new learning and successes throughout the year.

 

Language Arts includes reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Using a variety of resources, our goal is to engage our students in the curriculum and instill in them a lifelong love of reading and writing. Throughout the school year, students will work independently and in large and small groups. Our classroom environment is one that fosters and welcomes student participation and discussion. Our hope is that students will feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, opinions, and questions. Wonderful "aha moments" are created when students share connections between their experiences, the real world, and the content being taught in class. This provides a wonderful way for us to get to know the students and learn from them; we truly do learn something new each and every day. We hope each day brings new learning, some fun, and some laughter. We sincerely believe we have the best job in the world!
