Welcome to Eighth Grade Science!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your student’s eighth grade science education teacher. My name is Loren “Rusty” Johnson I am your child’s teacher for this upcoming school year. I am a 1990 graduate from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education as well as a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education 1995. My work experience includes working with students in Brecksville-Broadview Heights and Berkshire School Districts, teaching health education, science and physical education.  

I am honored to be able to work in a positive learning environment where excellence is maintained through family involvement and a committed staff and administration. I am committed to student achievement both academically and through healthy decisions and will work closely with families and staff to influence your child’s transition from middle school to high school. I am looking forward to planning enriching and engaging activities for your child.

I look forward to working with families and staff “to do whatever it takes” so that our students achieve success throughout middle school.
