I have been teaching science and mathematics since 2006, and thoroughly enjoy working with young adults! I am a Denison University graduate with a BS in Chemistry. I also have an MBA in finance from Hofstra University and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University. I am licensed to teach both 7-12 integrated mathematics and 7-12 integrated science.
Courses taught: Algebra, Advanced Algebra, 8th grade science, Biology, Chemistry, Honors Chemistry
My husband and I have two children and a golden retriever. Our daughter attended Cornell University for undergraduate and graduate school and is currently working for IBM in Boston. Our son attended Westmont College for two years and is finishing his college degree at Kent State University. Prior to having children, I pursued a rewarding career with GE Lighting.
In addition to teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family boating, skiing, traveling, entertaining and attending classical music concerts. I have been playing the harp since I was six. One of my favorite activities is walking on the beach collecting shark teeth.
Chemistry and Honors Chemistry are interesting, fun and rewarding courses. With perseverance, every Chemistry and Honors Chemistry student achieves outstanding success! “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right.” Thomas Edison.
