Mrs. Stiffler

Mrs. Stiffler has been teaching English at Hudson High School since 2000 and currently advises The Explorer newspaper staff. Prior to teaching, she worked as a reporter for The Hudson Hub-Times, where she was a features and school beat reporter; she made the switch to teaching after four years in the journalism field because of her desire to work with young people. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at Ursuline College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Kent State University, and in 2008, she earned National Board Certification in teaching Language Arts. In her spare time, Mrs. Stiffler also teaches fitness classes at several local wellness centers and enjoys reading, writing, and hiking.

Her mission is to help students be stewards of their own learning so they will feel successful in class and in life. Mrs. Stiffler employs a variety of teaching strategies and allows students to make choices to help bolster their confidence. They will become masters of their own learning and realize their own potential as they work to become productive citizens.
