Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to my website. My name is Danielle Richardson and I teach third grade at McDowell Elementary School in Hudson, Ohio.
Let me share a little bit about myself. My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Education K-8 from Kent State University and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University. I consider myself to be a life-long learner and continue to take coursework to improve my knowledge of current to improve my knowledge of current educational innovations.
This year, I am proud to say I received a 25 Year Service Award...as the saying goes, time really does fly when you're having fun! I can honestly say I have loved every single minute of every day I get to work with your children! My classroom truly is my "happy place" and I don't take that for granted. I pride myself in creating a classroom environment that is nurturing, meaningful, and encouraging to best promote student success. It's important to me that I help children understand that we are all unique and special in our own way, especially the way we learn. I emphasize the importance of not feeling the need to be "perfect" as we learn more from our mistakes. Most of all, I want every child to know I truly care about them, believe in them, and value them as individuals!
I am very fortunate to say that I have fulfilled my two lifelong dreams: to be a teacher and a mom. I have accomplished them both in that order! I have two boys, Josh and JJ, both are off to college this year! So my husband Jim and I will be empty nesters for the first time! So, I'm especially grateful for the time I get to work with your child!!!
I'm looking forward to another wonderful year working with your child in my "happy place"!!!
