Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Standley

Hello, my name is Eric Standley and I am currently a 3rd-grade teacher in the Hudson City School District at McDowell School. I’ve been teaching third grade for the past 9 years and proud to begin my twentieth year of teaching! I began the first years of my teaching career teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts. I also taught in Seminole, FL, for six years until my move back to Ohio in 2008. I have been the technology content facilitator for McDowell for 5 years and girls' high school cross country assistant coach for the same amount of time.

I am originally from East Liverpool, OH (once pottery capital of the world) where I graduated high school and went on to attend Walsh University in North Canton, OH completing my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education.I received my masters' degree from the University of Akron in 2015 in Instructional Technology. My passion for the use of technology in the classroom shows in all we do and I hope to better prepare my students for 21st-century learning and responsibilities as digital citizens.  I am currently married with a six-year-old son and three-year-old daughter where we reside in Lakewood, OH.
