    Ms. Antes

     

    I am delighted to be teaching fourth grade Language Arts at East Woods Intermediate School. I have been teaching in the Hudson City Schools since 1998. Previously, I taught second grade as well as sixth grade math. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and one in Dance as well.  I hold a master’s degree in Gifted Education and my administrative license. 

    Before teaching in the Hudson School District, I was a ballet teacher and choreographer at the University of Akron. This experience plays strongly into my teaching philosophy. I believe that each and every child desires success and I know that the road to that success is different for everyone. I always strive to include each of the learning modalities, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic in my classroom each day.

    The partnership between student, parent, and teacher is vitally important as we strive to insure the academic and social/emotional growth of each child. This will be a year full of awesome learning experiences for all of us. 

    I look forward to working with you and your children to make their fourth grade year a great one.
