Mrs. Oshaben

Welcome to my webpage! I am very excited to be teaching 4th grade Math and Science Inquiry this year! I team teach with Mr. Mummey, who teaches Language Arts and Social Studies Inquiry. We also work with Mrs. Arther, who is our team intervention specialist, and Mrs. Hake who is our classroom aide.

This will be my 17th year of teaching. I began my teaching career teaching 6th grade math and science in a private school. Three years later, I started teaching in Hudson. During my time in Hudson, I have taught grades 2, 4, and 5. This is my 11th year in 4th grade and I must admit that it is my favorite!

I earned both my Bachelor's Degree and my Master's Degree from Cleveland State University, with math as my concentrated area. I am certified to teach grades 1-8.  My goal is to have my students develop confidence in their mathematical abilities and apply those new skills in real world situations, not only today, but for years to come.
I currently reside in North Royalton with my husband, our rescue dog Ziggy, and rescue cat Kaija. I love sharing stories about my pets with my students, as much as I love hearing about theirs! My husband and I also love to travel. Some of our favorite places that we have visited include Italy, Mexico, Hawaii, and California.  I also enjoy kayaking, beaches, and walking my dog!
We are going to learn so many great things this school year! I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your child. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
